It’s that time of year again when the Brisbane festival takes over the cultural landscape for an abundance of expression and awe-inspiring creations. The wonder has started early at the Twilight Electric precinct in Brisbane’s Northshore with the return of entertainment extraordinaire, Strut & Fret’s cheeky and sultry cabaret, Blanc De Blanc Encore, and the Tokyo-inspired cocktails and magic show combo at Maho Magic Bar.
Be sure to don your best sequins and Gatsby-esque attire for this moody, glamorous and visually-sumptuous champagne cabaret taking over the iconic Spiegeltent. Blanc De Blanc Encore harks back to all of the champagne-soaked debauchery of the original iteration, Blanc de Blanc, with sparkling new touches for a refreshing dive back into the glitz and glamour.
Be immersed in the hedonistic and extravagant world that revels in a vintage French flair, and risque humour. Expect spectacular aerial displays, comedy and dance numbers that will live on in your mind well after the show.
Joining this cheeky cabaret is the dazzling Maho Magic Bar. Direct from Japan, this is not your ordinary magic show. Part bar, part exclusive close-up magic show experience, these tricksters will conjure a glittering Tokyo-inspired night full of delicious drinks, and astonishing acts. Plus, there are family-friendly magic shows every Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
